One Period Classes

One Period courses are open to 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders. No application is needed. If you meet the prerequisite, just sign up through your Guidance Counselor in one or more of these elective courses. Learn digital photography and create unique images Using Adobe Photoshop.

Offered as a one period course for 9th-12th graders. One Semester.

Prerequisite: C average or better in Freshman English; or be enrolled in Freshman English or higher level.

Focus on creating multiple forms of media using different web applications.  Examples include animation, computer graphics, digital imaging and video componenets.

The students will be exposed to power tools and safety practices related to construction. The student will be able to identify the various employment opportunities in the construction field.  Areas to be introduced are masonry, ceramic tile, plumbing and heating, painting, weatherization, apprenticeships and many more.

Students will learn how to apply the marketingmix (product, place, price, promotion) to the sports, entertainment and recreationindustries.
