One Period Classes
One Period courses are open to 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders. No application is needed. If you meet the prerequisite, just sign up through your Guidance Counselor in one or more of these elective courses. Communications & Technology Academy
Course# 70801
Learn digital photography and create unique images Using Adobe Photoshop.
Offered as a one period course for 9th-12th graders. One Semester.
Prerequisite: C average or better in Freshman English; or be enrolled in Freshman English or higher level.
Engineering & Technical Systems Academy
Course# 70803
Learn shop safety, project cost estimating, and use equipment to build projects demonstrating basic skills in this industry.
Offered as a one period course for 9th-12th graders – One Semester.
Prerequisite: C average or better in Algebra I or B or better in 311 Math; or be enrolled in Algebra I or 311 Math.

Learn client server operating systems, networking protocols, workstation management, building computers and hardware maintenance.

Learn the business side of operating a spa and discover the science behind aromatherapy, facials, hand and foot massage, manicures, pedicures, waxing, and make-up.

Learn the academic and hands on skills needed for rescue of people in potentially life threatening situations. You will gain CPR and First Aid Certification.

Learn the basics of food and kitchen safety. You will learn how to use kitchen equipment and prepare a number of basic recipes. The semester will culminate in a culinary cook-off that will show off your newly learned talents.
