Emergency & Fire Services
This course is designed to meet the needs of students who are interested in becoming career fire fighters, or who are interested in volunteering as fire fighters. Offered to juniors and seniors, students will experience complete training and will learn about equipment, fire behavior, how to search a building, fire control, etc.
Emergency & Fire Services I (Course # 70863) – First Year Students -- This is the first class in the Emergency & Fire Services program. This class is for juniors and seniors interested in a Firefighting career and meets on A and B (green and gold) days in the morning from 8:50 to 11:15. Students earn ½ Science credit upon completion of this course.
Emergency & Fire Services II (Course # 70864) – Second Year Students -- This is the second class in the Emergency & Fire Services program. This class is for juniors and seniors who have successfully completed the first course and meets each afternoon from 11:50 to 2:05. Students earn ½ Science credit upon completion of this course.
Prerequisite—Sophomore standing; be enrolled in 422 Biology with passing score on the TABE; or be enrolled in 424 Biology or higher level with a "C" average or higher

One Period Class
Rescue 911 — This class is open to 9th through 12th graders who have earned a "C" or better in Freshman English or are enrolled in Freshman English. Learn the academic and hands on skills needed for rescue of people in potentially life threatening situations. You will gain CPR and First Aid Certification. (½ credit—1 semester course)
