Video Production

Video Production focuses on communications in a digital world, with an emphasis on art and design. Effective communication includes pictures (moving and still), the spoken word, music, graphics, and text. Combining these elements convincingly and incorporating transitions, volume, timing, and tempo adds new dimensions to the art of communication. Video production provides training in pre-production planning, camera operation, sound, lighting, directing, on-camera presence, editing, production, and script writing. Students in video production will learn how to communicate their messages by creating different types of video programs, including news, music and instructional videos, and other types of advertising and documentaries.
